The Leasing Specialist - US/Canada plays an essential role in the management of the Lush's real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate will play an integral role on Lush's Real Estate team analyzing the portfolio, researching markets and managing market reviews, negotiating store renewals and new locations. This person is passionate about providing unique customer experience that elevates the brand and excels at interpersonal relationships.

Your core RESPONSIBILITIES will include:
- Manage the broader real estate process from market and site selection through lease negotiations and post-opening lease maintenance (renewals, critical dates, estoppels, etc.)
- Support the Head of North American Property and the Real Estate Leasing Manager on the roll out and management of the overall Real Estate portfolio strategy
- Obtain information on potential sites, analyze location and provide recommendations to the Property Team
- Assists the real estate team during the site acquisition process.
- Develop an annual pipeline of projects including: new locations, relocations, expansions, renewals, refits, refreshes for the team
- Work with landlords and brokers to negotiate the best economic terms possible
- Coordinate schedules with other departments, create schedule database
- Solve problems/communicate lease language to other departments, such as Payroll, Construction, Design, Retail Support
- Creates proposals, presentations and financial reports for all real estate opportunities
- Analyze data such as sales of other tenants, mall size, demographics, etc.
- Analyze data for existing shops, size, sales, etc.
- Support partners to establish sales estimates for new shops.
- Manage a high volume of sites/landlord relationships.
- Work closely with construction/design/finance/Director of Real Estate to ensure on time opening of new shops
- Work closely with legal council on leases
- Provide guidance and support to finance and retail operations with respect to lease renewals, store relocations, etc.
You bring the following QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- 3+ years previous experience in real estate either within the retail real estate industry
- Outstanding proven experience creating and finalizing landlord agreements
- Ability to be solution oriented, while supporting Lush values
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Ability to see the larger global picture and take initiative on projects
- Empathetic and supportive of the team effort
- Proven experience working in a multi-departmental, collaborative environment
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in area of finance, marketing or legal
- Experience partnering with Finance, Construction and Project Management teams
- Experience working with both US and Canadian Landlords/brokers
Location: We are open to the successful candidate being remote, located in North America.

Base salary range is determined based on Vancouver market assessment. May vary depending on location of the successful candidate
