Position Summary: 

WLG seeks professionals who want to join a high-performing team committed to working together to deliver exceptional services to our clients. The Litigation Research Specialist position will (a) assist the Director of Litigation Laboratory in conducting online focus groups / mock trials, (b) manage quantitative and qualitative data collected from those exercises, and (c) assist in preparing data summary reports following online focus groups / mock trials. The ideal candidate will be professional, proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Interacting with online focus group / mock trial participants in a professional, pleasant, and direct manner.
  • Programming and administering electronic surveys to focus group / mock trial participants and ensuring an accurate and smooth data collection process.
  • Entering quantitative data collected from focus groups / mock trials into SPSS (statistical software package), cleaning those data, and maintaining Litigation Laboratory’s growing dataset.
  • Preparing summary reports of qualitative data collected from focus groups / mock trials for WLG’s attorneys, including summary charts and figures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a closely related field is required. 
  • Prior experience conducting research with human subjects is preferred.
  • Prior experience conducting focus groups is preferred. 
  • Prior experience entering data and managing datasets in Excel is required; experience with advanced statistical software (SPSS) or a strong desire to learn this program is required. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Proficiency in Zoom; experience conducting Zoom meetings preferred.
  • Prior experience with opinion survey software is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • High level of professionalism and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly. 

Physical Requirements:  

  • Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.   
  • Stationary Position – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.  
  • Move or Traverse – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc.  May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.
  • Dexterity – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.  
  • Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs. 
  • Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information - The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess - The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
