This role has a pay range between $55,000 and $65,500 annual salary.

Applies accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely journal entries and financial reports while maintaining appropriate control over procedures for all Affordable Living/Housing of Urban Development (HUD) properties.

Job Qualifications
Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field.
Experience
- Preferred: Two years in general ledger accounting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant financial Samaritas policies and accounting regulations (GAAP).
- Knowledge of HUD requirements.
- Able to demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
- Ability to perform job functions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to apply principles of logical or mathematical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
- Advanced ability to understand, analyze and interpret reports, statistical and financial data.
- Ability to operate with minimal direct supervision.
- Advanced proficiency in utilizing various computer applications, including and not limited to Word and Excel. Excellent data-entry skills.
- Ability to maximize technology and perform work in a paperless environment.
- Ability and willingness to work as part of a team in achieving common goals. Ability to work constructively with staff and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural context.
- Ability to speak, read and write fluent Englis
