Legal Operations

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Capstone is looking for a qualified, enthusiastic candidate to join the firm’s global Legal and Compliance team in a “Legal Operations” role.  This is a full-time position based out of Capstone’s New York City headquarters. The Legal Analyst role will report to a senior lawyer on Capstone’s global Legal and Compliance team, which is comprised of 10 total team members.  The role offers the opportunity to gain in-house experience while working with the team that provides oversight and counsel to Capstone in connection with the firm’s legal, compliance and regulatory operations.

DESIRABLE CANDIDATES:

The Analyst, Legal Operations will be a key player on Capstone’s Legal and Compliance team, engaged in a broad variety of tasks and projects, including, but not limited to, the formation, structuring and operation of private investment funds, governance related to those funds and Capstone, trading counterparty matters and various ad hoc compliance and regulatory issues.  Experience in anti-money laundering (“AML”) and know your customer (“KYC”) matters related to setting up new trading relationships and ongoing counterparty management is a plus.

The ideal candidate is an intellectually curious, organized individual who wants to develop skills in a fast-paced environment, has the ability to be proactive, responsive and multi-task efficiently, and a desire to create relationships across Capstone through collaborative work with the firm’s Operations, Investor Relations, Treasury, Finance and other teams.  The candidate should be humble, results-oriented and have the flexibility to adapt to quickly changing circumstances and priorities.  Excellent written and verbal communications skills are necessary for success in this role.

BASE SALARY RANGE

$80,000 - $100,000 USD
