Labor & Delivery Clinical Nurse Coordinator – Full-Time Nights
Location: Dickson, TN
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts with rotating weekends (every other weekend)
Pay Range: $30.75 – $46.15 per hour (based on experience)
Differentials: $3.50/hr (nights) | $6.00/hr (weekends)
Sign-On Bonus & Relocation Assistance: Offered case-by-case

Position Overview

A well-established regional medical center in Dickson, TN is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to support overnight operations in its high-performing Labor & Delivery unit. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced L&D RN looking to step into a hybrid Charge Nurse/Assistant Nurse Manager role, serving as the primary clinical leader on night shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide charge-level leadership during night shift operations

  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborns

  • Scrub in for OB surgical cases and support emergent deliveries as needed

  • Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and unit throughput

  • Assist with scheduling, clinical workflows, and inventory control

  • Guide and support nursing team performance and professional development

  • Lead service recovery efforts and staff engagement initiatives

  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and clinical standards

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state (required)

  • Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (required); BSN (preferred)

  • Certifications:

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) – within 30 days of hire

    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – within 12 months of hire

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (required)

    • Prior leadership experience in L&D, NICU, Women’s Services, or Mother-Baby (required)

    • Must be confident performing deliveries and assisting with OB surgical cases overnight
