How We Work:

We are the full-stack browser development team behind GenDigital’s Secure Browser products. Our mission is to build and maintain critical backend services and browser-side components that ensure users’ privacy, safety, and seamless product lifecycle management. 

Mission and Goals:

GenDigital is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong backend expertise and solid full-stack proficiency to join our Secure Browser team. This role demands end-to-end ownership—from designing backend systems to making occasional frontend updates and architectural improvements. 

You will help build, deploy, and maintain mission-critical production systems that are secure, scalable, and performant. You’ll work closely with engineers, architects, and product teams to revamp legacy systems, design modern services, and enhance browser-integrated experiences. 

Objectives:

• Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable backend services in .NET. 

• Contribute to frontend improvements when needed (full-stack mindset). 

• Refactor and modernize legacy projects with architectural redesigns. 

• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality releases. 

• Analyze and quickly onboard into existing systems and unfamiliar codebases. 

• Ensure systems are observable and resilient using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, or OpenSearch. 

• Own services end-to-end: development, deployment, monitoring, and incident response. 

• Implement performance optimizations and participate in code reviews. 

• Engage in cross-functional planning and problem-solving discussions. 

Competencies:

• 5+ years of experience developing backend services in production environments.

• Proven experience with .NET in backend development. 

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization (Docker) 

• Proficient in GitHub workflows and best practices. 

• Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, OpenSearch). 

• Experience with performance optimization and application health monitoring.
