Summary

The Senior Brand Designer supports the AVP, Head of Brand Design and our Marketing and Growth Organization. They will be a seasoned design professional who brings extensive experience in brand design, including but not limited to conceptual development, design refinement, asset and system buildout, and guideline authorship. They will bring bold ideas, human-centered obsession, and enthusiasm that pushes beyond the ask.  

Overview:

The ideal candidate is an exceptionally talented creative thinker who takes ownership and accountability over design projects driving excitement for, and adoption of, asset usage across our company. They will create original design concepts in accordance with the AT&T brand identity and design principles and coordinates the production of assets as necessary. They will also author guidelines and work with external partners when necessary. Responsible for learning and leveraging the established design process focused on insights, research, and objectives-based iteration, refinement, and execution.

Highly organized, they balance creative excellence and brand standards with the needs of the business owner and project objectives. Collaborates frequently with other departments (e.g., Strategy, Insights, Project Management, Brand Management, Business Units, and Marketing) to ensure project success. Builds strong enterprise-wide relationships, cultivating a meaningful rapport of trust and credibility.

A portfolio is required and should reflect award-winning brand design work for large consumer facing brands. In-house corporate experience is a plus.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conceptualizes, plans, produces and/or refines a diverse range of creative ideas/concepts, specialized graphic and/or illustrative material for team consideration against the set strategic brief.
  • Owns and is accountable for assigned projects while understanding deadlines and budgets and maintaining quality of output.
  • Pro-actively manages up with the practice leads and leadership to provide insight and feedback on project status and their work.
  • Cultivates fresh ideas (no matter who or where they come from) and nurtures a growing creative culture that inspires others to excel.
  • Communicates effectively verbally as well as visually, presenting design rationale during internal/external presentations/critiques.
  • Attends and contributes during internal/external work sessions, critiques, and presentations.

Skills:

  • Technical and software skills related to the discipline, including Adobe Creative Suite, figma, Microsoft programs, etc.
  • Ability to draw or represent design thinking using traditional design tools, including hand skills.
  • Thinking strategically as well as aesthetically.
  • Effective visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present ideas to senior leaders with confidence and ease.
  • Must have the ability to juggle multiple tasks with short-term deadlines and ambiguity.
  • Effortlessly balances speed with volume of ideation and quality of output.
