Medicine | IM Medical OncologyResearch Senior Technician to execute designated experiments and perform standard molecular and cell biology techniques including DNA, RNA and protein extraction, agarose and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, gel extractions.
Responsibilities Include:
Assists with writing protocols
Interacts with basic and clinical sciences
Maintains organized laboratory notebook
Analyzes data and makes recommendations to scientists
Participates in lab meetings and journal clubs
Assists with writing and editing scientific articles
Maintain mouse cage inventory
Responsible for quality control of imported targeting vector(s) embryos.
Education/Experience
Bachelors degree in Microbiology and Immunology or related field required
Ability to translate, adapt and apply academic or practical knowledge in the conduct of biological/health science research required
Experience in a biological/health science research capacity required
Experience with western and RNA analysis desired.
Requires successful completion of a background check
Qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
