About the role

College of Nursing is seeking 2 Part-Time Assistant Professors at (.25 FTE) for the Nurse Anesthesia Program, Acute & Tertiary Care Department

  • Teaching responsibilities include both didactic course work and clinical supervision of students in the Nurse Anesthesia Program. 4
  • Responsibilities for this role include clinical practice assignment in addition to educational responsibilities. 
  • Research/scholarship activities as well as service responsibilities will be determined in collaboration with Department Chair.
  • Doctorate degree required; graduation from a recognized School/College of Nursing and accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program
  • Certification/recertification by the National Board on Certification/Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists
  • Licensure to practice in Tennessee as a registered nurse with specialty licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.

Departmental Preferences: 

  • Previous experience in Nurse Anesthesia education preferred.
  • Academic rank is at Assistant Professor level.
