GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The School of Science, Technology, and Health at Tiffin University is seeking a qualified full-time seated faculty member with an open rank (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) to teach in the Cyber Security program, within the School of Science, Technology & Health. This position will begin in August 2025 and is a full-time, benefits-eligible appointment.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The following are the responsibilities of the job:
- Provide high-quality instruction, supervision, and evaluation of students in classroom settings, with a primary focus on cybersecurity core courses such as Incident Management, Wireless Security, Cyber Warfare, Cyber Law and Ethics, and Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Analysis. Contribute to course and program assessments to ensure academic excellence.
- Teach a total of 12 contact hours each semester.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the cybersecurity curriculum to maintain relevance and innovation
- Participate in professional, university, and community service activities aligned with the mission and values of the institution.
- Actively engage in and contribute to grant-funded research initiatives, enhancing scholarly activities and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Serve as a student mentor each semester, supporting their academic and professional development by helping them explore career paths and achieve their goals.
- Incorporate High Impact Practices (HIPs) into teaching and mentoring to promote student success, including experiential learning, research opportunities, and collaboration.
- Participate in university, college, and departmental events, including open houses, recruitment efforts, and community outreach activities to strengthen program visibility and enrollment.
- Perform additional job-related duties as needed to support departmental and institutional goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues on departmental initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation, cooperation, and professional growth.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
- Evidence of a strong commitment to teaching and fostering an engaging learning environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
- Demonstrated proficiency and experience in teaching or working with a variety of cybersecurity core courses.
- Relevant industry experience in cybersecurity, computer science, incident response, software vulnerability research, or other related disciplines within cybersecurity.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, with the ability to integrate this expertise into the classroom and HIPs.
- Familiarity with the hardware aspects of computer science, including understanding system architecture, hardware-software integration, or other related topics.
