Working with Pfizer’s dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical part in managing the maintenance and reliability engineering activities involving the redesign, maintenance, and repair of utilities systems, buildings, and production/non-production equipment.
You will be a team member who is relied on to have a good understanding of procedures, techniques, tools, materials and equipment. Your decision making will help you prioritize workflows based on the available resources. You will follow standard procedures to complete tasks, some of which may vary in scope, sequence, complexity and timing. You will contribute to the team’s success by sharing your previously acquired knowledge.

How You Will Achieve It
The Senior Production Maintenance Mechanic will provide maintenance support to production suites and support areas at the Andover site. Individual will operate and perform daily checks on Direct and Indirect Production Maintenance equipment and assist other groups with repairs in compliance with company and departmental SOPs. Individual will work in a fast-paced, safety-oriented team environment and will perform tasks that are routine in nature with minimal supervision. The Individual will maintain records to comply with Good Manufacturing Practice requirements to include detailed documentation of work performed in both electronic and written form. Individual will provide Engineering support with projects related to production manufacturing. Manage own time and professional development, accountable for own results and prioritize own workflow Routine performance of preventative maintenance on process support systems and equipment including but not limited to Pumps, Valves, Autoclaves, Centrifuges, Reactors, Tanks, HPLC Columns, Ultrafiltration skids, Microfiltration skids, and CIP Systems. Utilizes CMMS to manage the repair of process support and plant systems and equipment.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience
- Excellent computer user skills
- Functional or Technical Knowledge of basic discipline
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Sound interpersonal, decision making and problem-solving skills
Nice-to-Have
- Technical understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to be able to review and maintain facility related GMP documentation. Can read complex mechanical, piping and equipment drawings.
- Previous Biopharma experience
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and procedures
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Should be able to climb a ladder, reach, bend, and lift loads up to 40lbs.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Incumbent will be required to carry a phone device, laptop computer and be on call as required to support operations and participate in off-hour emergency coverage as needed.
Work Location Assignment: On Premise
Shift is Monday thru Friday 07:00AM to 3:30PM
The salary for this position ranges from $28.68 to $47.79 per hour. In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company’s policies.
