Job Summary:

Join this high impact team as a Principal Network Infrastructure Engineer to work in a collaborative, iterative development environment focused on the capital project expansion for our locations in the North Dallas Texas region. In this role, you will support the network infrastructure architecture, procurement activities, hardware deployment, Cisco Smart licensing, and asset management activities. The ideal candidate will have digital network infrastructure experience.

Success in this role means you can develop, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments. The position will support the capital project initiative in the North Texas, Dallas/McKinney region. The role is remote, but the ability to travel as necessary to our locations in Dallas, McKinney, and other local Texas facilities will be required.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Digital Technology Operational Oversite/Project Management of all assigned efforts/projects to completion (within Network and Voice Frameworks) Developing and maintaining requirements.
  • Participating in network infrastructure architectural reviews
  • Conducting performance and risk analyses
  • Managing and maintaining assigned documents in accordance with established procedures
  • Supporting the team in preparation and conduct of project deliverables.
  • Completing assigned tasks to meet schedule milestones.
  • Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity.
  • Partnering with functional organizations (e.g., Supply Chain, Facilities, Security).
  • Job does not require a clearance but requires access to information that is contractually restricted to U.S. citizens.
  • The role is remote, but the ability to travel as necessary to our locations in Dallas, McKinney, and other local Texas facilities will be required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • This level role typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • Experience with network infrastructure; hardware sizing, design, and deployment.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment.
  • Experience with Capital Projects, particularly facility moves, where network installations must be coordinated with building out new spaces for offices and manufacturing floors.
  • Experience in Network Project Management.
  • Must be able to develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.
  • Experience with using Information Technology project lifecycle management processes.

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
