While there may not be an immediate need for a lecturer in every area, UW-Stevens Point (UWSP) accepts applications regardless, in order to create a pool for when there may be a need. An associate lecturer/lecturer/senior lecturer is hired on a per-course basis each semester, and teaching one semester does not guarantee being assigned the following semester. The teaching hours for an associate lecturer/lecturer/senior lecturer will vary with a teaching load ranging between 1-12 credits per semester.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
- Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
- Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations

Compensation & Benefits:
The Associate Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer is a part-time, salaried, exempt, academic year (9-month), instructional academic staff position.

Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree with relevant experience. Areas of expertise include, but are not limited to: Forestry, Soil & Waste Resources, Wildlife Ecology, Fisheries & Water Resources, and Environmental Education and Interpretation.
Formal or informal teaching experience, including the delivery of outreach, extension, or similar community-oriented programming.
Preferred Qualifications:
Possession of a terminal degree in a natural resources discipline, OR;
Professional experience equivalent to 5 years in one, or a combination, of the following:
Employment with a private, public, or non-profit agency whose primary service is to provide education, policy development, management, commercial or other professional services for the following sectors:
Forest Management
Environmental Education or Interpretation
Natural Resource Planning, Policy, or Sustainable Energy
Soil, Land, or Waste Management
Wildlife Management or Captive Wildlife
Water Resource Management
Fisheries Management
Paper Science Manufacturing or Chemical/Environmental Engineering
Teaching experience in a primary or se
