Innovative new Psychiatry Role!

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Psychiatric Registered Nurse to work on our Intensive Mobile Treatment team located within the five burroughs.  As the Psychiatric RN, you would be seeing patients out in the community.  This is new program that is designed to deliver the best possible care to patients within the underserved community.  You would be working alongside other Nurses and clinicians to treat patients.  Please see job highlights below for more info.

Title: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: New York NY

Salary: $107,000 to  $110,000

Responsibilities:

Seeing patients out in the community and giving medication

Working with patients on health maintenance and prevention of illness including case management, physical activity, and dietary guidelines.

Providing important information to clinical support staff and other nurses to complete treatment plans

Performing counseling sessions with direction from Providers and focusing on human behavior and psychiatric nursing

Documenting all necessary results in EMR system

Participating in Quality Performance protocol and conducting monthly record reviews

Interacting during team meetings and addressing any concerns

Overseeing areas of nursing care nursing intervention

Advising patients on health education and addressing any physical illness as well as mental illness

Providing level of crisis intervention and emergency services

Requirements:

Must have at least 1 year of Psychiatric Registered Nurse experience

New York State nursing license required

Prior Psychiatric Registered Nurse field work experience preferred

Must have Associates Degree in Nursing

Preferring BSN Degree
