Senior Underwriter, Regional Lead – Hiscox Underwriting Center

Role Description:

This role leads a team of Underwriters and manages relationships with regional brokers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrites, prices and negotiates accounts consistent with the quality of the risk and according to the company’s strategies and guidelines for the product lines.

• Identifies underperforming brokers and renewal books & engages team + key stakeholders to drive improvements.

• Build collaborative relationships with Underwriters across the US offices.

• Achieves production targets and underwrites business profitably.

• Functions as an escalation point for both personnel and underwriting-related concerns and provides day-to-day coaching and development to team members.

Technical Requirements:

• Expertise in leading, motivating and developing a team of Underwriters to achieve business results.

• In depth knowledge of underwriting policies, procedures and guidelines.

• Advanced risk assessment, business needs assessment, and pricing knowledge.

• Basic knowledge of broker performance variables and ability to respond effectively.

• Strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000

**Please note that this position is hybrid and requires two (2) days in office weekly**
