A bit about the role
The Community Facilities Officer is responsible for administration, high-level customer service, and operational support, including setting up rooms, cleaning, and maintaining the grounds. Key duties include processing bookings, preparing for events, and ensuring the site is safe and well-maintained.
This position also requires managing health and safety protocols, risk management, and working within specific guidelines. You will serve as the primary weekend supervisor, overseeing site operations and ensuring smooth management.
What you’ll deliver
- Manage the booking process, including design and setup support.
- Perform office tasks such as reporting, filing, and financial duties.
- Help ensure the site is safe, clean, and prepared for events and community programs.
- Create and distribute marketing materials for upcoming programs and activities.
- Plan and manage resources, maintain records, arrange meetings and respond to customer inquiries and provide community information.
- Identify and implement improvements based on various information sources.
- Collect data on centre usage and maintain effective administration procedures.
What you’ll bring
- Relevant experience and work skills commensurate with the requirements of the position.
- Highly developed administrative skills.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office package suite
- Knowledge of horticulture, events, weddings and hires.
- Level 2 First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Valid Victorian Driver’s licence
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, Psychometric Testing, Functional Assessment (Medical/physio)
