GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide general assistance to assigned Account Manager
- Help Account Manager prepare client paperwork, such as Renewal Questionnaires and Contracting/Renewal Paperwork
- Obtain information needed for quoting, in coordination with the Benefits/Marketing Analyst and Account Manager
- Triage and reply to incoming emails, which should be responded to within 24 hours of receipt.
- Communicate effectively with members and clients, resolving questions and service requests.
- Notify Account Manager of trends and issues of escalated complexity and/or urgency.
- Back up Account Administrator to ensure enrollment processing is submitted to carriers correctly and within 5-business days of receipt, or by the last day of the event window, whichever is sooner.
- Collect and review plan policies, contracts, certificates, plan documents, and SPDs, notifying Account Manager of any errors or inconsistencies.
- Communicate with EB Tech and Account Manager to ensure technology builds and renewals stay on schedule (i.e., Employee Navigator)
- Maintain documents in benefits administration portals (i.e., Employee Navigator)
- Update system plans and products with accurate plan, rate, and commission information
- Ensure compliance with Insurance Operations (IO) standards; notify other assigned Teammates if their work has an IO-related deficiency and work with them to get it corrected.
- Promote teamwork, positive attitude, and commitment to department/agency goals.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Exceptional oral and written communication
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Prior employment or internship in an office setting
- Must obtain state Life and Health Insurance Licenses within 6-months of employment.
- Bachelor’s Degree - preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in insurance or medical field
