None/Not RequiredCollins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Specialist, Global Trade to support our Aerostructures business at the Riverside, CA and San Marcos, Texas sites. In this key role, you'll help ensure compliance with global trade regulations, support business operations, and implement trade policies across the organization. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop compliant, practical solutions that support our global mission. What you Will do:
- Responsible for all aspects of the site(s) global trade program and working with the business to understand applicable requirements.
- A critical part of the role is global trade policy and procedure implementation which involves the flow down and implementation of procedures throughout the business.
- Perform and document daily due diligence investigations for import or export transactions subject to GTS (ERP) holds due to licensing or Sanctioned Party Screening reasons.
- Analyze business needs with respect to Global Trade requirements and develop compliant solutions across all phases of the business lifecycle.
- Support daily Jurisdiction & Classification (JC) and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification requests.
- Daily support on internal customer inquiries received in the Export shared inbox.
- Participate on a rotational AOG afterhours weekend support team. Person to be on call on weekends (every 4 weeks aprox.).
- Support China Sourcing Directive process. Analyze ECCNs at the part number level against the final assembly to determine if Dual Use items are involved. Responsible to follow through individual requests coming from the Supply Chain organization on a timely manner.
- Support the development and delivery of formal and informal Global Trade training and communications.
- Provide regulatory interpretation and guidance in the following areas: Anti-boycott/Restrictive Trade Practices, Export Screening protocols, Export Control Classification, Export Documentation, Tariff Classification, Sanctions and Embargoes, Customs, Visitor management, Technology marking, Technology transfer methods, international travel, Reporting and other administrative requirements for export compliance.
- Obtain Knowledge of USMCA and other free trade agreements qualification, record keeping requirements, valuation, country of origin, reconciliation.
- Report customs and GT Programs metrics on management dashboard on monthly and quarterly basis.
- Establishes and maintains training and audit / assessment programs to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal controls
- Participate/Lead in GT council meetings
- Additional GT activities assigned by a direct or indirect GT manager
- Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally when circumstances permit
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience

- Experience in Program/product knowledge and general knowledge of technology transfer requirements and restrictions.
- Experience utilizing SAP/GTS or similar ERPs and Global Trade applications.
- Experience utilizing Excel and/or Power BI applications.
- Experience leading projects and delivering presentations to internal customers within multiple business functions
- Experience with continuous improvement projects and/or syste
