The Hampton Plaza Apartments is a premier 200-unit residential community located in the vibrant Towson area of Maryland, just adjacent to the Towson Mall and a variety of dining options. Our complex offers an ideal living space for residents who appreciate convenience and comfort. We’re seeking a highly motivated, customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Residential Front Desk Associate/Concierge.
We are seeking a professional and personable Residential Front Desk Associate/Concierge to join our team at a 200-unit apartment complex. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong ability to manage various tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves providing exceptional service to residents and visitors, managing deliveries and inquiries, and assisting with day-to-day operations of the complex. The property is conveniently located adjacent to Towson Mall, offering a range of dining and shopping options, with easy access to I-695.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visitor Management:
- Greet and assist visitors, providing access to the building and ensuring security protocols are followed.
- Verify visitor information and coordinate access to residents as needed.
- Package Management:
- Accept and securely store packages delivered for residents.
- Notify residents of package arrivals and arrange for timely pick-up.
- Maintain a package log and follow procedures for tracking deliveries.
- Phone and Inquiry Handling:
- Answer incoming calls and forward inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Handle phone calls in a professional and courteous manner, assisting with general information or resident needs when possible.
- Maintenance Requests:
- Receive and log maintenance requests that are submitted in person or via phone, and ensure they are forwarded to the appropriate maintenance team members.
- Follow up with residents to confirm issues are resolved and provide updates as necessary.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, ensuring that their needs are met promptly and courteously.
- Address resident concerns or issues with a professional, problem-solving approach.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist with organizing and distributing community communications, including notices and newsletters.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and ensure it is welcoming at all times.
- Community Relations:
- Stay informed about local events, dining, and shopping options in the Towson area to assist residents with recommendations or information.
- Build positive relationships with residents and be a welcoming presence in the building.
- Other Duties:
- Assist with special events or community activities as needed.
- Perform other administrative or operational tasks as assigned by the Property Manager.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service, hospitality, or front desk operations, preferably in a residential setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of basic computer systems and office equipment.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Previous experience with property management software (such as Yardi or Entrata) is a plus but not required.
Work Environment:
This position will be based at the front desk of a 200-unit apartment community, with responsibilities that require interaction with residents, visitors, and staff in a high-traffic, fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift packages up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Must be able to perform duties in a variety of weather conditions when assisting with outdoor tasks or emergencies.
