We are seeking a Senior Safeguards and Security Specialist Energy, to join the team in our Oak Ridge, TN office.

How will you contribute to the team?
Stops work without fear of reprisal for unsafe conditions potentially affecting personnel safety or environmental risk.
Participates in the hiring process that ensures positions are staffed with personnel who possess the appropriate education and experience and who can be successful in meeting training and qualification requirements that ensure personnel are appropriately indoctrinated and trained to the necessary competence level for performing their duties.
Manages the activities, professional development, and performance of personnel performing work within their respective department.
Serves as Safeguards & Security and Nuclear Materials and Control and Accountability representative for assigned facility.
Performs self-assessments on security procedures, ensures compliance with all security protocols, and provides feedback on effectiveness of security measures and procedures.
Provides functional interface with Isotek Operations, Maintenance, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) Protective Force in daily plant operations.
Develops and revises operational procedures for physical control of Special Nuclear Material (SNM), property protection, and access control/alarms in cooperation with the Isotek Technical Security Administrators (TSA) and UT-Battelle departments.
Serves as on-scene oversight of internal and external SNM movements for the facility.
Works directly with Facility Manager to support operations of the facility.
Assists with Safeguards and Security Plan and Vulnerability Assessment development and updates.
Assists Isotek Performance Testing with limited notice, no notice, and scheduled performance tests of Isotek programs contained in approved performance test plans.
Serves as Lock and Key and Tamper Indicating Device (TID) Custodian for the facility.
Performs duties as Derivative Classifier.
Supports tours, demonstrations, and visitor access to facility.
Serves as subject matter expert in all facets of Safeguards & Security in support of facility personnel.
Supports the execution of Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) guiding principles and core functions and the Isotek Safety Culture.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What will you contribute?
Associate degree in security-related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in safeguards and security.
Performance Testing experience preferred.
National Training Center PMC-410, Fundamentals of Performance Testing (or equivalent).
National Training Center PMC-420DE, Physical Systems Overview (or equivalent).
Ability to obtain Human Reliability Program certification and DOE “Q” access authorization.
Must be familiar with DOE Orders in physical security and program management
Supervisory experience required.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Strong communication, verbal, and written skills
