Edwards Lifesciences is scaling up its global Salesforce footprint and is seeking for a Senior Salesforce Architect / Tech Lead to design, govern, and guide delivery across an enterprise‑scale org.
You will translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable architectures, define integration strategies, extend and enforce development standards, and mentor a high‑performing team to deliver quality outcomes.
How you will make an impact:
Architecture & design
Translate business requirements into technical design (with scalability, security, reliability, performance, maintainability in mind) that drive repeatable and executable architecture strategies and design patterns for key projects/initiatives in close collaboration with technical team and Product Owners.
Identify and define integration opportunities: select tools, specify shared data and code resources, define interfaces and data flows, and monitor integration success for tactical projects/initiatives.
Standards, methodology & governance
Develop, institute, and maintain IT design methodology, development process methodology, technology standards, and best practices for the Salesforce ecosystem.
Provide oversight to ensure compliance with architectural standards and practices throughout planning, execution, and operations (code reviews, design reviews, release readiness, post‑deployment checks).
Technology evaluation & enablement
Lead the evaluation of new technologies for possible integration into the existing IT environment; perform fit/gap analysis and proofs‑of‑concept.
Develop, institute, and maintain the design and metadata repository to integrate all aspects of established architectural models (data model, integration catalog, API inventory, deployment pipelines, reference implementations).
Survey external emerging developments and evangelize new technologies, standards, and methodologies across product and platform teams.
Delivery leadership & coaching
Provide expert guidance on tactical projects/initiatives (backlog shaping, solution options, risk management, non‑functional requirements, performance tuning).
Train, coach, and enable team members on complex tasks; promote engineering excellence, test automation, and CI/CD discipline.
General & administrative
Contribute to documentation, status reporting, compliance checkpoints, environment management, and other administrative tasks that ensure predictable delivery and audit readiness.
What you’ll need:
7+ years of hands‑on experience with Salesforce (Sales, Service, Experience, or Platform).
5+ years working in large/enterprise Salesforce orgs (complex data models, high user counts, multi‑cloud, multiple integrations).
Proven solution‑driven mindset with strong business partnering skills.
Salesforce Development Architect certification (or equivalent senior‑level architecture credential).
Strong technical proficiency in: Apex, SOQL, JavaScript (Lightning Web Components), Copado, Bitbucket/Git.
Working knowledge of any Apex framework (e.g., enterprise patterns/fflib) is a plus.
Agile delivery practices (Scrum/Kanban): backlog refinement, iterative delivery, metrics, and continuous improvement.
