About the role
We are looking for a Payroll Specialist, Tier 2 to oversee all aspects of day-to-day payroll for our clients. You will process payrolls for a portfolio of our customers and will be responsible for the completion of all tasks and projects required to meet bureau metrics targets and bureau Service Level Agreement.
The Role. . .
- Process and deliver customer payrolls, garnishments, employee maintenance, timesheet consolidation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Excellent Service delivery
- End to End Payroll Administration
- Maintain working knowledge and understanding of current statutory federal and state payroll regulation
- Administer all payrolls within a set portfolio of customers, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time to achieve bureau targets
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and provide customer service according to the Bureau Service Definition and Service Level Agreement
- Ensure all data is received from the customer on time and all output is delivered to the customer in line with bureau targets
- Respond to customer telephone or email queries and take appropriate action within Service Level Agreement
- Highlight and escalate/respond to any matter that may affect the smooth running of customer payrolls
- Ensure Client Notes are kept up to date with current client payroll processes
- Communicates and consults with customers regarding Federal and State regulation and Fourth policies
- Maintain knowledge of current Federal and State regulation through self-learning and Fourth training sessions
- Builds relationships and collaborates with internal departments provide seamless service to Fourth clients
- Performs analysis of completed payroll and troubleshoots data inconsistencies; identifies trends and potential issues and recommends solutions.
The Ideal Candidate. . .
- Knowledge of and experience using Prism software a plus
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
- Minimum of 2+ years processing large volume multi-state payrolls
- Knowledge of basic accounting concepts
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal abilities; expertise in building and maintaining business relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
