JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Eberly College of Science, Department of Biology, is looking to hire Learning Assistants (LA) to provide support to Biology courses overseen by faculty during the 2024-2025 academic year. This position will be supervised by Lyndsay Rathbun. The LA will help faculty organize coursework, explain biology concepts to students, and hold office hours and/or review sessions. Applications must be submitted electronically, and at a minimum must include the completed online application form. Preference will be given to full-time registered Penn State students who have successfully completed the course for which they will be assisting (BIOL 469). Applications will be received on an ongoing basis and reviewed as the need arises.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
