Hotel Strategy Marketing Manager - Corporate (Las Vegas)

About the role

 The Hotel Strategy Manager will report to the Senior Director of Hotel Strategy and will collectively be responsible for increasing EBITDA in the form of hospitality promotions that support hotel room nights and occupancy growth across all Caesars Entertainment hotels in his/her respective Las Vegas and regional properties.  The Hotel Strategy Manager will also be responsible for monitoring performance and optimizing the marketing and analytical approach on an ongoing basis.  Responsibilities will include: developing hotel marketing campaigns, creating property and market specific offers; evaluating performance by channel; working with Revenue Management to develop pricing guidelines, and overseeing series of sales and promotions.  The Hotel Strategy team will work closely with key partners such as Revenue Management, Email Marketing, Digital and Social Marketing, Hotel Operations, Property Marketing, Hotel Partnerships, and POD/Casino Marketing to set the strategy. 

                                                                                                                                  

The Manager will participate in creative thinking and idea generation around how to improve EBITDA goals without sacrificing margin, how to better leverage the respective assets of each property he or she is responsible for, how to drive demand for the properties in his or her portfolio, and how to quickly respond to changes in the market or competitive landscape. This role will need a strong creative direction and understanding of customer needs and marketing strategy, along with the ability to express and “sell” new ideas to different layers within Caesars, as well as a disciplined approach to project management.  Other talents that will be helpful in this role are communication skills across multiple levels of the organization, analytical skills to evaluate the viability and effectiveness, and the ability to recommend improvements to the marketing strategy. 

  • Oversee development of hotel marketing strategy for Las Vegas and regional market properties 

  • Lead development of hotel marketing campaign calendar for each property

  • Plan against enterprise sales with Hotel Strategy team

  • Continuously monitor and evaluate hotel performance across properties and channels, both historical, current and forward looking, recommending changes as necessary

  • Evaluate competitive offerings and actions, and develop recommended plans 

  • Explore and recommend new hotel marketing channels and partnerships

  • Develop test plans by channel, property and segment

  • Work with Revenue Management to develop strategies for each property

  • Work with key internal partners to develop and execute campaigns, such as email, digital, social and third party

  • Other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Hotel Strategy

     

  • College degree in marketing, business or related field required
  • At least 2 years of managerial experience
  • Experience with channel management and media optimization, particularly digital marketing and media preferred
  • Insights into basic analytical data pulls, pro-formas and data analysis
  • Understanding of creating and executing individual direct/email campaigns, as well as designing an overarching marketing strategy 
  • Creative experiences, either managing a brand or designing within specific brand standards
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously required
  • Experience working with strategic teams across several functional areas
  • Ability to maintain composure and excellent customer/client relations under all circumstances
  • A team player with strong communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills 
  • Must possess outstanding presentation skills with the ability to persuade an audience through strong delivery, effective listening and good reasoning.
  • Demonstrated track record of partnering and building relationships with Property Operators, Shared Services, and Corporate IT; or related work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work effectively in a constantly changing environment
