Job Description

As a Data Protection and Information Security expert, you work in interdisciplinary teams that develop data-based, sustainable and scalable solutions together with our partners, which, on the one hand, support building owners in meeting their regulatory obligations and, on the other hand, lay the foundation for the digital transformation of buildings and real estate portfolios.

As a Data Protection and Information Security expert, you have a holistic overview of both general and specific data protection requirements, especially in the real estate industry and ecosystem-based business model.

Our goal is not only to meet the legal and regulatory requirements, but also to give our customers the technical ability to exercise and realize their data sovereignty with our platform, including vis-à-vis service providers and partners.

As an expert, you will be involved as a consultant and partner in the development of our organization and accompany employees and management teams. In addition, you will be involved in all key processes in the development of solutions, products and processes in close cooperation with our customer, product and software development teams to ensure the appropriate framework conditions and requirements for data protection-compliant implementation.

Independent participation in business development and taking on a pioneering role in the development and expansion of the company are also welcome. In addition, you will be in close contact with the responsible Data Protection and Information Security Officer (DSO) of the Bosch organization.

• You teach, sensitize and advise managers and employees in the implementation of the requirements on the topics of information security and in particular data protection.
• As an engineering partner, you offer independent and solution-oriented consulting as part of product development. You will support in the development of data protection issues, especially with regard to the legal requirements according to the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG).
• Your area of responsibility includes the evaluation and implementation of data protection-relevant topics in new business areas, especially in the context of platform and ecosystem business in the real estate industry.
• The goal is, together with the company management and the developers, to develop solutions according to the principle "Privacy and Security by Design" for the development and operation of systems in the field of the Internet of Things (IoT) and digitalization.
• You will work closely with the Data Protection and Information Security Officer (DSO) of the Bosch organization. You will identify and evaluate risks, identify, design and carry out the corresponding training and monitor the implementation of specifications and defined principles.

Qualifications

• Education: university degree in business informatics, business law, law or a comparable degree.
• Experience and know-how: several years of professional experience in information security and data protection; good knowledge of legal data protection in Germany (BDSG) and in the European Union (GDPR) and their application in the IT area.
• Personality and way of working: convincing, resilient, strong in communication, confident in appearance, self-motivated, independent, team- and customer-oriented in a demanding start-up environment as well as the willingness to travel.
• Languages: very good German and English spoken and written.
