Senior Surveyor

SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor who is responsible for coordination and supervision of project-based survey/layout requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee project survey operations in construction survey
Interface with contractors and trades to ensure work accuracy relative to design intent
Manage quality control of self-performed and subcontracted work
Build strong cross-cultural relationships and resolve conflicts appropriately
Provide proactive leadership in developing the safety culture on the project site
Foster teamwork and promote diversity
Liaise between field engineers and contractors to ensure compliance with drawings and specs
Promote the Zero Injury Safety Program
Coordinate with registered surveyor company for project start-up
Attend and participate in project meetings as required
Maintain relationships with customers, engineers, union representatives, and subcontractors
Portray a positive attitude and demonstrate professional customer service skills
Ensure teams have the resources and support to provide superior service
Foster a project team culture of superior service to the customer
Lead business operations and project leadership consistent with Mortenson values
Model and exemplify the code of ethics

Perform all other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate or bachelor's degree in one of the following: Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience as a surveyor within the construction industry
Minimum of five years previous survey experience required
Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) License preferred
Driver’s license is required
Computer skills in Bentley Inroads, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center or equivalent survey software
Ability to operate equipment including but not limited to total station, GPS, data collector, etc.
Travel required

The base pay range for this role is $87,100 MIN - $117,600 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Wa
