How you will help us create value together:

As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for the Tech Services department. The focus of the department is to apply continuous improvement and support new product development.  Activities will include manufacturing operations support, documenting work instructions, routings, process improvement, and cost out initiatives.

This onsite position will be based onsite at our South Harbor location in Milwaukee’s Harbor District. The target start date for this role is Summer 2024 and has potential to be extended into the Fall 2024 school semester. We offer full-time hours during the summer and flexible part-time hours during the academic year.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Create and modify routings. Routings queries: Assess contents of routing and times. Adjust routing based on findings
• Assist with improving the quality within the departments
• Create and facilitate PDE for new product development and existing product
• Create and maintained Visual Work Instructions
• Plan and implement continuous improvement opportunities to reduce cost, improve productivity, safety, quality, velocity, OTD, etc.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar, from an accredited college or university.
• Role and responsibilities can be scaled based on applicant’s experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Creative, high energy, self-motivated and self-starter.
• Experience with ERP Systems (SAP preferred)
• Willingness to learn or try something new!
