Brake Press Operator, 3rd Shift - Spartan Mowers

The Brake Press Operator is responsible for operating press break on machine. Fits and fabricates structural steel, completes layout, and inspects finished product.

Shift = 3rd Shift which is typically 10:00pm - 6:00am with occasional overtime if needed.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: ​​​​

• Operate press brake machine.
• Run bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches.
• Checks height, depth and thickness using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauges and other precision-measuring instruments.
• Work with tight tolerances.
• Produce parts for assembly operations.
• Perform spot inspections of parts.
• Configure bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless, aluminum & regular steel).
• Check machine for defects and repair if necessary.
• Ensure machine is calibrated and cleaned.
• Read drawings and blueprints.       

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

• Previous press brake experience a plus.
• Great attention to detail and precision experience
• Ability to read blueprints
• Able to calculate bend deductions
• Skill in both verbal and written communication. Knowledge of safety practices.
• Team player with organizational skills
• Ability to lift or move heavy products
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Competitive Salary – The pay range $17.00 - $22.00
