Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Traveling Shop Assistant to join our dynamic construction team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in general construction, handyman services, or skilled trades such as welding, plumbing, and electrical work.
As a Traveling Shop Assistant, you will play a hands-on role in supporting store remodels, new store buildouts, fixture installation, and general construction tasks. You’ll collaborate closely with our team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality. Flexibility and a strong work ethic are key, as this role involves frequent travel for projects, including extended stays of up to two weeks at a time.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with store remodels, buildouts, and fixture installation.
• Construct and install custom fixtures and complete a variety of general construction tasks.
• Travel to various store locations as needed—overnight travel is required multiple times per year.
• Always adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
• Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely and effectively.

Qualifications
• Strong working knowledge of general construction practices with hands-on experience in one or more trades, such as welding, plumbing, electrical, or general handyman work.
• Ability to assist with store remodels, new store buildouts, fixture installation, and other construction-related tasks as assigned.
• Must be willing and able to travel for projects, including overnight stays of up to two weeks at a time, multiple times throughout the year.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to Safely Perform Job Functions: Capable of safely and effectively performing essential job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting both qualitative and quantitative productivity requirements.
• Physical Strength: Must have the ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 70 lbs, frequently exert up to 25 lbs. of force, and constantly apply negligible force when handling objects.
• Endurance: Able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Manual Dexterity: Proficient in performing repetitive motions such as extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction and working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm.
• Fine Motor Skills: Skilled in tasks involving seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands.
• Balance and Agility: Capable of maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces, as well as maintaining balance when performing agile tasks.
• Visual Acuity: Possesses clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more.
Language Requirements
