Description

Markon is seeking Information Systems Managers (multiple experience levels) to support our NRO client from Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities

The ideal Information Systems Manager will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following tasks:

  • Develop and customize MIS solutions tailored to the organization’s needs.

  • Oversee the integration of new systems and ensure seamless compatibility with existing IT infrastructure.

  • Ensure data accuracy, security, and accessibility through regular audits and updates.

  • Provide ongoing support for MIS, troubleshooting issues, and implementing enhancements.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to maintain system stability and minimize downtime.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, updates, and processes.

  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to align MIS initiatives with organizational goals.

Qualifications

Required:Entry-Level:

  • 0–3 years of experience with a Bachelor’s in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

    • OR 7 years with a High School Diploma/GED

    • OR 5 years with an Associate degree

Intermediate-Level:

  • 4–7 years of experience with a Master’s in a related field

    • OR 10 years with a High School Diploma/GED

    • OR 8 years with an Associate degree

    • OR 6 years with a Bachelor’s degree

Senior-Level:

  • 8+ years of experience with a Doctorate in a related field

    • OR 16 years with a High School Diploma/GED

    • OR 14 years with an Associate degree

    • OR 12 years with a Bachelor’s degree

    • OR 10 years with a Master’s degree

AND

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Counter-Intelligence Polygraph (Preferrably from this client)

  • Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle ERP) and CRM platforms

  • Proficiency in managing and configuring server environments (e.g., Windows Server, Linux)

  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)

  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and services (e.g., AWS, Azure)

Desired:

  • Certifications in relevant fields (e.g., CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+), Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals)

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Working knowledge of Risk Management Fram
