Houston Engineering Inc. (HEI) is a full-service civil engineering, surveying, environmental and technology solutions consulting firm with multiple locations throughout the Midwest.

The Digital Marketing Lead will guide the in-direct revenue marketing team; and in general, constantly strives to improve marketing, graphics, branding, PR and communication of the firm. Also, the Digital Marketing Lead will mentor staff and help them grow in their communication and marketing skills.

Job Description

• Leads companywide digital external communications strategy, analytics, and content development, including website, social media, and email, to support business development and recruitment efforts.
• Performs, directs and assists in graphic design for traditional and digital media, including advertisements, conference materials, proposal handouts, postcards, brochures, website graphics, and email marketing (branded clothing, trinkets, signage, etc.)
• Serves as branding standards advocate to ensure consistency across all internal and external communications and materials.
• Assists with photo and video editing needs.
• Develops and improve marketing processes and assists with marketing strategies coordinated by other offices.
• Manages companywide advertising contracts, placement, and design.
• Leads the content coordination and design of HEI's biannual newsletter.
• Lead and support external marketing efforts for client managers and business sectors when requested, such as client appreciation gifts or targeted campaigns.
• Creates and oversees conference-related marketing material.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field preferred.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience with Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and YouTube.
• Exceptional skills in teamwork, leadership, and communication.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and strong skill in organization and coordination.
• Ability to research and continue to learn new practices and technologies to improve workflow efficiencies.
• Must be able to work and communicate effectively with a large variety of technical staff, subcontractors and teaming partners as well as be able to give clear, concise directions.
• Experience with Asana, Canva, Canto, Hootsuite, Keeper, and/or WordPress preferred
• Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction industries preferred
• Experience with geofencing preferred.
