  • 10 days per month of Pediatric Rheumatology inpatient consult coverage
  • Call is beeper-based, limited to Pediatric Rheumatology only — 10 days per month
  • Full panel of autoimmune conditions including JIA, lupus, dermatomyositis, vasculitis, scleroderma, periodic fever syndromes, and Behçet's disease
  • On-site infusion center for IVIG and monoclonal antibody therapy
  • Multidisciplinary vasculitis clinic in collaboration with Pediatric Nephrology
  • Cross-institutional collaboration with adult rheumatology at DMC Harper University Hospital
  • Academic affiliations with Wayne State University School of Medicine, Michigan State University, and Central Michigan University

Why Detroit

Detroit is a city in full stride — a revitalized urban core with world-class dining, a thriving arts and music scene, and major sports anchoring community pride year-round. Neighborhoods like Midtown, Corktown, and Royal Oak offer distinct personalities and genuinely affordable housing compared to most major metro markets, making it an easy place to put down roots. The broader metro area provides strong public and private school options, and proximity to the Great Lakes means outdoor recreation is never far away. For physicians who want the energy of a major city without the cost of living to match, Detroit consistently delivers.
