Join our team! We are currently seeking an experienced PLC Electrical Technician for our Dudley, NC Plywood manufacturing facility. This is a highly skilled hourly position requiring a thorough understanding of safe work practices, troubleshooting, and maintaining manufacturing equipment/processes. Maintenance team members will be expected to possess and refine multiple skills.

Salary:

  • $35 plus per hour based on experience
  • This role is eligible for a $3000 Sign on Bonus

Shift: This is currently expected to be a 10-hour shift (Monday – Friday) with occasional weekends. Training for this role would occur on day shift for approximately 2 months before moving to a full-time night position.

Our Team

The Dudley facility is one of Georgia-Pacific’s largest Building Products facilities and it manufactures Plytanium® Plywood, AC and BC, Sidings and Sturd-I-Floor® Plytanium® Plywood which is used in sheathing, roof decking, sub flooring and other specialty applications.

What You Will Do

  • Programming and troubleshooting Control Logix programs
  • Reading electrical schematics, and equipment layouts
  • Assisting with internal and corporate projects and upgrades
  • Troubleshooting, and repairing electronic and electrical equipment
  • Troubleshooting, and replacing control devices
  • Supporting electricians with difficult troubleshooting as needed
  • Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines and policies
  • Helping meet or exceed production waste and quality goals
  • Helping on any shift, including holidays, weekends and overtime as needed

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):

  • At least 3 years of Electrical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing setting
  • At least 1 year of PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience reading technical drawings and schematics
  • Experience troubleshooting pneumatic systems
  • Experience troubleshooting hydraulic equipment, circuits, and components
