Summary
The Senior Analyst - Freight Forwarding Accounting position is responsible for managing to maintain accurate accounting of Revenue and Cost of the Freight Forwarding Business. This position must acquire understanding of Freight Forwarding business and work collaboratively with Freight Forwarding departments.
Responsibilities
• Prepare accurate and timely Monthly financial reports, including revenue and cost analysis for management
◦ Assist in overseeing the transactions on business segment for FF and Inland teams
◦ Manage daily, month-end, and year-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements in a timely manner
◦ Analyze data completion, decide revenue and cost according to accrual base, and apply to the closing practices
◦ Validate revenue and cost accrual comparing to AR/AP
◦ After month-end closing, follow up with reconciling accrued revenue and cost with actual invoices posted
◦ Analyze variances in Actual vs. Business Plan, Month-to-Month Analysis, Month vs. Year-to-Date (YTD) analysis
• Assist in quarterly and annual auditors' reviews to help facilitate an optimal audit process
◦ Support in establishing and maintaining SOX controls regarding AR/ AP processes to achieve corporate objectives and ensure current processes are
accurately documented
◦ Investigate the remaining BS Accrual balance and reconcile with revenue and cost
◦ Other duties as assigned
Compensation Range
$54,000- $59,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Education & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree Required
• 1 - 2 Years of direct experience in Accounting and/or Finance Required
• 3 - 4 Years of direct experience in Accounting and/or Finance Preferred
