Job Description:
Office Location & Schedule: This position is assigned to our office located in La Vista, NE.
Pay Rate: $21.395/hour
This rate is based upon available budget funds; any offer will be made at this rate.

Essential Functions
- Initiates and routes contracts; collects and maintains contractor information.
- Performs administrative duties and accounting work including preparing, maintaining, and processing financial records and documents, and accounts receivable and payable in the State of Nebraska accounting system.
- Responds to inquiries and provides information related to Step Up to Quality program processes, rules, and policies, and provides assistance to applicants.
- Reviews and processes Step Up to Quality documents to determine compliance with program rules, regulations, guidelines, and eligibility for programs. Verifies information for accuracy, completeness, and eligibility.
- Collects and summarizes data from Nebraska Early Childhood Professional Record System (NECPRS) for reports used to measure progress and facilitate program planning.
- Develops, maintains, and updates databases and collaborates with other staff to collect, verify, and use appropriate data. Maintains the Step Up to Quality Orientation course and distributes surveys to gather feedback for program improvement.
- Collaborates with other Office Associates to carry out clerical functions and processes in support of the department.
- Demonstrates commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
Working Conditions and Travel:
This position requires approximately 95% of work time spent in an office environment; the remaining 5% is spent traveling or working in alternative sites such as educational service units, meetings, or conferences. There is also approximately two days of overnight travel per month.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and three years of experience related to the essential functions of the position. Any equivalent education and/or work experience may be substituted in order to meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Postsecondary education related to the essential functions of the position and experience with Early Childhood and the Step Up to Quality program. Proficiency with a variety of software programs including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Professional.
