About the team

Join our Data Services team and lead the transformation of how Mambu manages customer data—from import to extraction, reporting, and archiving. You’ll drive the deprecation of legacy systems and build secure, cost efficient auditing, archival and data governance solutions for Mambu's customers across all major Cloud Service Providers.

 

This is a strategic, hands-on role focused on platform modernization, architectural leadership, and enabling ethical, impactful use of data and AI across the company.

What you’ll do

• Lead the design and delivery of modern, scalable data services—from ingestion to archiving

• Guide platform modernization and deprecate legacy systems to improve reliability and cost-efficiency

• Establish data architecture standards and mentor engineering teams across reporting, governance, and migration

• Implement and champion CI/CD, IaC, and DevSecOps for data infrastructure

• Continuously improve code quality, testing (Unit), processes, and documentation within and beyond the team.

• Define and execute Mambu’s AI strategy for data insights, transforming raw data into valuable business entities

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years of hands on experience in running mission critical cloud infrastructure, combining strategic vision with hands-on execution

• Expertise in writing clean, testable code and performing thorough code reviews in Java is a must.

• Strong experience in cloud infrastructure and data platform leadership (AWS required)

• A track record of leveraging Java programming language to architect and develop data-intensive solutions, including experience with data processing pipelines and real-time data streaming technologies.

• Strong hands-on skills with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation), containerization, and observability. Strong experience with Kubernetes.

• Proven track record in large-scale migrations and legacy system retirement

• Deep knowledge of data security, schema management, and scalable AI/ML solutions

• Collaborative leadership style and experience mentoring cross-functional teams
