The 46-bed 3 West Tower General Surgery/GYN Oncology Surgery Unit is known for their outstanding communication skills, caregiver engagement, community service and top-quality patient care. Nurses play an integral role in the care of our adult and geriatric patients here. As RN in this department, you will use your nursing skills to enhance care and facilitate a welcome, healing environment for patients. A caregiver in this position works rotating days/nights from 7:00AM- 7:30PM or 7:00PM – 7:30AM.    

 
A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

• Provide direct nursing care. 

• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.  

• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.  

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments. 

• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.  

• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. 

• Educate patients and their families.   

 
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)  

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)  

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the
