Description
The Thomas Jefferson Center for the Study of Core Texts and Ideas (the Great Books undergraduate program at The University of Texas at Austin) seeks candidates for a full-time nontenured position as Assistant Professor of Instruction for the 2025-26 academic year, with a possibility of renewal for one or more subsequent years. The course load is three courses each semester, two of which may be sections of the same course. Teaching is needed for courses in the history of political philosophy and the American tradition of political thought from the Founders to the present, including African American thought.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. in the liberal arts with a focus on one or more great books; and some record of teaching excellence.
