About the Work

  • Work closely with other product designers, product managers, engineers, and various stakeholders, to contribute to Alley-oop, our Design System.
  • Create and maintain foundational patterns, UI components, and documentation, while following accessibility standards.
  • Support product designers to speed up their workflows by creating reusable and adaptable interactive components that leverage the latest Figma features, like variants and component properties.
  • Anticipate how the components and styles in the system will affect those using them and optimize the Figma library accordingly.
  • Advocate for Alley-oop across the organization.
  • Effectively communicate and articulate your thoughts on your designs and processes in order to justify your design decisions.
  • Being open and receptive to feedback, exploring iterations, and providing objective feedback for other product designers.
  • Lead design processes including conducting user research, usability testing etc. and leveraging intelligence tools such as Amplitude for quantitative feedback.
  • Always thinking about how to improve team and organizational processes.
  • Other duties as required.


About You

  • A strong portfolio showing your process of working through full end-to-end experiences, design thinking, and using research to drive decisions.
  • You elevate the design team through the way you approach design - from actively seeking feedback, communicating designs, and setting the standard for execution.
  • You have experience working cross-functionally in order to discover user problems and frame them to work on the right impactful solutions.
  • You’re comfortable working autonomously and proactively, while also knowing when to bring others in to move things forward quickly.
  • You’re comfortable running workshops or presentations that cover complex concepts to technical and non-technical groups.
  • Experience designing for web and native platforms, WCAG compliant and accessible design
  • 3-5 years of experience designing digital products and experiences
  • Fluent in Figma
  • Experience using Confluence and Jira to manage your work
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Design, Interaction Design, or a related discipline
