The Manager, Pfizer Futures is responsible for managing the undergraduate summer intern program across multiple US business units and site locations across Pfizer. This includes direct oversight of summer internship recruitment, program execution and progressing conversion objectives.
What You Will Achieve
- Manage end to end process for undergraduate summer intern program, Pfizer Futures
- Develop and execute the recruitment strategy for undergraduate hires alongside key business leaders, partner closely with PXLT, ELT chiefs of staffs, senior leaders and their administrative support to identify positions and manage candidate placement
- Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with global colleagues in campus and diversity recruiting roles for the purposes of sharing best practices and identifying opportunities for collaboration and support
- Serve as the primary point of contact with schools and diversity partnerships for all undergraduate hiring; Partner with business to develop target school selection approach and overall campus strategies
- Attend offsite events as needed to establish external relationships. Facilitate the attendance of Senior Leadership at offsite events including panel speaking engagements, campus talks, diversity outreach events, etc.
- Actively manage external recruitment vendor that is responsible for the operations of the hiring process (interview management, offers, onboarding of interns).
- Lead all aspects of programming to deliver a positive intern experience, including guidance to business leaders on best practices for management of interns and intern projects, execution of all intern events, and establishment of intern evaluation to determine top talent for potential conversion
- Stay up to date on external research to analyze and report on key trends, initiatives, competitive activities, and industry best practices to influence the ongoing evolution of our internship program
- Leverage social media to share aspects of our program with interns and potential future interns
- Work directly with ELT Chief of Staffs to create, develop and execute Summer Programming activities for summer interns, including but not limited to Lunch-And-Learns, Philanthropic Activities, Professional and Social Networking Activities, and hosting Fireside Chats with ELT.
- Develop effective tracking tools to provide consistent communication on program’s effectiveness to business and Px community based on quality, cost, efficiency and customer feedback.
- Ensure adherence to all compliance guidelines regarding posting policies and applicant tracking
- Partner with various Business and Rotational Program leads to ensure alignment on conversion strategies
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience in Business, Human Resources, or Related Field
- 4+ years’ Px experience including recruitment
- Demonstrated experience with program or project development and management
- Ability to resolve escalated issues and problems quickly
- Proven track record of driving consensus and action through clear communication, relationship-building, and data-informed strategy and recommendations.
- Ability to interface, collaborate and build partnerships with all levels of PX, line management and external partners
- Superior attention to detail and exemplary organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including social media communication
