Vice President & Chief Information Security Officer

 

The Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer will be responsible for overseeing the information security program for Atlas, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data, as well as compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role is exempt.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the company's information security strategy and roadmap, aligned with business objectives and risk management priorities.
  • Establish and maintain an information security program that includes policies, standards, procedures, and controls to protect the company's information assets from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, modification, or destruction that are in accordance with ISO and SOC 1 and SOC 2 certification requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that information security risks are identified, assessed, and managed appropriately across the organization.
  • Manage the implementation and operation of security technologies and tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, data loss prevention, encryption, identity and access management, and vulnerability management.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits and ensure that corrective actions are taken to address identified vulnerabilities and non-compliance issues.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the information security team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, regulators, and industry peers.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in information security, and continuously improve the company's security posture.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role such as CISO or director of information security in an ISO certified organization
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in security technologies, tools, and methodologies.
  • Experience in developing and implementing information security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Experience in managing security incidents and conducting investigations.
  • Experience in risk management, including risk assessment, risk treatment, and risk monitoring.
  • Experience in managing a global, remote team
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in HR or Payroll technology organization is a plus
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are required.
