Quality Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform hydro-test on all production runs
• Conduct change outs in all areas (production, jacketing, re-spool, hydro, and extrusion)
• Daily yard operations rigging
• Rigger (using hand signals, run chain through shipping spools, tie chains to shackles, guide the forklift operators)
• Operate re-spooling equipment
• Load and off-load trucks
• Ensure all products have proper identification
• Maintain good housekeeping and organization around the yard
• Performs other tasks as assigned
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures. 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE 

• Certified to operate light-duty forklifts and equipment (Lull, Man-Lift)
• One of the following milestones
  • NCCCO Certified in Hand Signals
  • NCCCO Certified in Rigging
  • Certified to operate heavy-duty forklifts (40-ton and 55-ton)
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. 
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers. 
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required. 
• Clear and concise communicator (written and verbal). 
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Able to stand for long periods of time

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, safety shoes, and hardhats. Company uniforms must be worn at all times.
