Dialysis Technician - Baptist Hemodialysis - Days

Join our team as a day shift, full-time, Dialysis Technician, at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center Hemodialysis, in Oklahoma City, OK.

The Dialysis Technician position, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, provides clinical and technical services in the care of the hemodialysis patient. This position requires population specific competencies. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.

The Dialysis Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Stocks supplies, performs inventory and ordering of supplies to maintain appropriate par levels
• Prepares and maintains dialysis machines and equipment
• Observes patient, monitors and records treatment parameters, patient weight and vital signs and reports changes to RN
• Assesses patients for mode of transportation to and from dialysis (use of lift, Pal or wheelchair)
• Performs order entry, fingerstick blood sugars and ISTATS as directed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
  •BLS (Basic Life Support) Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 60 days of hire
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written).
