What You Will Do:

• Provide IT systems administration for systems using Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems, including heterogeneous environments. 

• Work as a Team Lead in a fast-paced technological environment, providing guidance and assistance to less experienced members of the team.

• Work with Security professionals to ensure compliance requirements are implemented and maintained. Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures.

• Develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.

• Assist your supervisor/manager with resource management, identifying skills gaps, managing workloads, covering absences, and provide performance feedback.

• Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date

• Collaborate in a fast-paced environment, using troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues, including hardware and OS integration, while adapting to evolving challenges as part of a team.

• 100% Onsite position, some local travel may be required.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience.

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Must have Windows and Linux systems administration experience.

• Experience with one of the following: VMWare vCenter, vSphere, VDI, and ESX virtual computing methods

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain desired.

• Experience leading small teams.

• Demonstrate experience with Red Hat Identity Manager

• Experience with Ansible.

• VMware highly desired.

• Department of Defense Directive (DoD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) and an Operating System Certification.  Ability to obtain 3 months.

• Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.

• Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions. Specifically Net App.

• Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
