The Administrative Faculty member reports directly to the Program Chair and provides leadership for faculty teaching in a set of related program areas. Working closely with the Program Chair, the Administrative Faculty provides oversight and supervision of adjunct faculty in areas of classroom performance expectations to develop faculty effectiveness and participates in course scheduling, hiring, mentoring, file management, development, and evaluation of faculty. The Administrative Faculty member makes recommendations to the Program Chair to resolve candidate complaints and questions, especially those involving faculty in accordance with university polices and process.
Academic Oversight and Success Activities
- Provide oversight for the school’s adjunct faculty across the system (AIUS) as determined by the Program Chair and University Dean.
- Analyze faculty and candidate metrics (including feedback) and respond accordingly.
- Contribute to the institution’s commitment to candidate retention and success.
- Assist in gathering outcomes data related to faculty activity details, candidate assignment reports, and academic trends data.
- Undertake activities aimed at improving faculty engagement and instruction.
- Review and resolve conflicts between faculty and candidates when necessary, following university policy.
- Collaborate with Program Chair on resolving candidate issues including, but not limited to academic integrity violations, grade changes, grade appeals, and incomplete grades, escalating issues as necessary and appropriate.
- Collaborate with Program Chair and University Dean in developing, maintaining, and implementing practicum documentation, policies, procedures.
- Foster an environment of continuous learning and scholarship.
- Assist the Program Chair in hiring and on-boarding of new faculty, scheduling instructors ensuring appropriate candidate/faculty ratio, preparing faculty credentialing documents per Course Profiles, and conducting training for faculty
Instructional Management and Support
- Provide oversight and supervision of adjunct faculty in areas of classroom performance expectations, mentoring, file management, and evaluation.
- Provide consistent coaching and guidance to adjunct faculty to realize continuous improvement related to quality of instruction.
- Assist the Program Chair in conducting trainings for faculty.
- Collaboratively develop, and revise processes related to faculty including but not limited to hiring and on-boarding, scheduling, evaluation, and development.
- Work with Program Chair to ensure adjunct faculty adhere to policies and procedures related to their role.
- Implement faculty performance management activities.
Service and Leadership
- Serve on System, University, School, and Program cross-functional teams and committees as requested.
- Support program, school, or university initiatives as assigned.
- Assist in regional (institutional) and programmatic accreditation efforts.
- Understand the mission, vision, goals and academic standards and policies of the University, and espouses them in the performance of duties
- Adhere to all University policies, procedures, integrity, and ethical standards, and holds their reports accountable for the same.
Scholarly and Professional Activities
- Maintain professional credentials
- Engage in regular and consistent professional development activities

- Performs other duties as assigned and assignments as required on an ad hoc basis
Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Minimum
- Doctorate in Clinical OR Counseling Psychology from a regionally accredited institution
- Successful college/university teaching experience in an online environment
- Demonstrated academic leadership experience in a higher education setting
- Strong understanding of discipline specific core competencies
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development
- Strong assessment experience
- Demonstrated experience in supporting candidate success
- Demonstrated experience in research and knowledge of current trends in their discipline
Education and Experience: Preferred
- Licensure (Licensed Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, or related)
- Experience teaching working adults
- Outstanding technology skills and knowledge
- Experience in administration of online education
- License or license eligible (if applicable to school)
