Sr. IT Data Analyst

Overview

The Sr. IT Data Analyst will provide data reporting and analytics capabilities to produce insights into IT department operations and results to the IT Leadership team. This role will identify data sources, gather data, analyze complex data structures to generate useful business insights, and develop reporting to monitor business critical results.

   

Essential Functions

• Establish data requirementsand identify data sources
• Create tools or queries to obtain data from data repositories for the purposes of reporting and analysis
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Effectively present and communicate final analysis to IT Leaders
• Participate on project teams
• Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 4+ years of professional work experience
• 2+ years of experience with SQL or similar data querying language
• 2+ years of experience with programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree from an analytical field
• 4+ years experience with SQL
• 4+ years experience in programming

 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday.  The daily schedule may vary from 8 am to 5 pm or 9 am to 6 pm.  Hours may vary or exceed 40 in any given week depending on the needs of the business.

 

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.
