Who we are

 

We are looking for a Splunk Developer to join our dynamic team for one of our clients, a top premium German car manufacturing company. You will be responsible for crafting, configuring, and deploying solutions within the Splunk platform to help our organization's IT and business operations. You will play a key role in analyzing and visualizing the data to support decision-making and provide insights into operational efficiency, security, and performance.

 

What you'll be doing

 

• Design and develop advanced dashboards, reports, and alerts in Splunk to meet the business requirements
• Configure and customize Splunk according to organizational needs, including setting up indexes, data models, and searches
• Develop and maintain Splunk apps and add-ons to enhance functionality and integration with other systems
• Ingest and index various types of log and machine data from different sources into Splunk
• Perform data normalization and enrichment to facilitate efficient searching, reporting, and alerting
• Analyze complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and potential issues
• Integrate Splunk with various data sources and platforms using APIs, scripts, and connectors
• Automate tasks and workflows within Splunk to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts
• Leverage Splunk for security monitoring, incident response, and compliance reporting
• Implement security measures and best practices to protect Splunk infrastructure and data
• Monitor and optimize the performance of Splunk searches and dashboards to ensure fast response times and efficiency
• Scale Splunk architecture to meet growing data and user demands
• Provide training and support to Splunk users across the organization to maximize their effectiveness

 

What you'll bring along  

 

• A University Degree or Advanced Diploma in a Software Engineering related discipline, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years of experience on a similar position is required 
• Previous experience in working with Splunk Enterprise or Cloud
• Splunk configuration know how
• Knowledge of Splunk Ingestion
• Nice to have: Python, Jquery, JavaScrip or Java knowledge for API extensions
• A team player with great communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on complex systems integrating cloud, web, and IoT technologies.
