About the role

As the Spa Retail Coordinator, you provide administrative, stocking and inventory control and additional sales associate assistance throughout the day.  Reporting to the Retail Manager, you assist in merchandise presentation, restocking, and shop recovery.  Your preparation, presentation and sales acumen greatly affect the overall spa experience of every guest who enters our spa stores.  You and the team compel the guests to help extend their spa experience or purchase items to share the spa experience with others. Your attention to detail in merchandise allows for a seamless shopping experience with our guests.  Whether back or front of the house, your spirit and spaces are always warm, welcoming, organized. You provide friendly, attentive and timely service to guests, members, and your co-workers as you maintain your daily tasks. You are a gracious ambassador for Sea Island with every interaction and share your passion for genuine hospitality in your commitment to enriching lives. 

You are the champion of the physical inventory, stock levels and ongoing accounting support.  You will sort, process, receive, tag, steam and organize merchandise.  You coordinate spot inventories as needed and quarterly inventories as scheduled.  You will receive, examine and process purchase requisitions.  You will code invoices to appropriate accounts and forward them to retail accounting.  You will input retail purchase orders into the system.  You will maintain par levels and run sales reports.  You will become familiar with all products (unique benefits and selling points of all skincare) and share that knowledge with your team. 

Through a hands-on approach, you will provide product knowledge to team members and guide, coach, develop and inspire team members to achieve their best in a Forbes five-star environment.  You lead by example as you coach and train team members in strategic floor activities such as optimizing merchandise presentation, product education as you maintain an operational focus on maximizing sales.  You will master the flow of the store and provide product knowledge and sales techniques training needed to effectively sell, and merchandising.  You provide assistant with Spa and Retail Events from the planning stages to the successful execution.

You maintain your knowledge of Sea Island’s properties, services, and offerings, and share this information with guests, members, and team members. You are generous with your support and help resolve any service issues that arise in a timely and positive way, following up as needed. You are proactive in aiding when needed and are willing to help with other areas or duties as requested.  

Job Requirements:

  • Two or more years’ experience working in a similar retail environment
  • Experience in physical inventories and inventory systems preferred
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Physical strength and stamina to perform a retail leadership role, maintain ongoing, prolonged physical activity throughout a scheduled day to include lifting 30 plus pounds, working in a retail/resort environment, comfort with noise levels, electrical, chemical and fume hazards with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, stretch, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periods
  • Timeliness and flexibility–you agree to work a flexible schedule. We work at peak business hours, which for us includes weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays
