Job Description
Role Purpose
As a Senior Product Manager with Wood Mackenzie’s Power & Renewables practice, you will assume ownership of one or more of our insights driven product initiatives. Leading a cross-functional team, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating the energy transition by solving complex problems for our customers. Working across the power portfolio you will be responsible for the development and execution of a market and client driven growth strategy centered on next generation data and analytics-based products.
Main Responsibilities
Effectively communicate with company senior management to define product strategy, work plans, and go-to-market initiatives
Work closely with the other product leaders, sales, marketing and research to successfully develop and position a full portfolio solution in the marketplace
Engage with customers and own product management responsibilities including a deep understanding of markets, personas and data analytic needs to drive product and commercial strategy
Define and communicate a clear product roadmap aligned with the overall business strategy
Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs.
Drive the delivery of high-quality SaaS-based solutions, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Make prioritization decisions based on business context and articulate the rationale behind the decision-making process.
Collaborate with front-end teams to ensure effective transformation and manipulation of data and insights for visualization purposes.
Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement within the data engineering team.
Qualifications
Proven experience in product delivery, product management and/or product marketing with SaaS based platforms
Strong experience working with technical teams
Ability to proactively seek answers and demonstrate high agency in problem-solving.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent prioritization and decision-making abilities in balancing business needs, technical debt, and new feature development.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail
Familiarity with data-related concepts and technologies specific to the power and renewables industry
Knowledge of technical applications such as Python, SQL, and Java
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or computer science beneficial
Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience
