SPECIAL NOTES:

Four (4) years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field may be used as an alternative for the required experience.

 

Additional requirement:

• Supervisory experience.

 

Preferences:

• Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
• Three (3) years of State government experience with accounting, auditing, or financial reporting duties.
• Experience writing procedures and manuals.
• Experience in database administration.
• Experience developing and delivering training.
• Experience with organizational change management.
• Experience conducting system/unit/user acceptance testing of new/existing software.

 

This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

 

The minimum annual salary for this position is $68,339.40. Salary may be higher depending on qualifications. 

 

Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

This position has responsibilities involving procedures adopted by the Department, Division, and Bureau. The procedures are part of the internal control structure used to provide reasonable assurance that objectives are met. This position shall use, comply with, and, if needed, improve these controls and procedures in the performance of duties within the Bureau of Financial Reporting.

 

This is a highly responsible professional position, which administers the Local Government Reporting Section. The duties require knowledge of accounting and auditing methods, complex accounting systems, state budget procedures, the Chief Financial Officer’s constitutional duties and state laws and rules as they pertain to financial matters.
